Newport Standard was born from a lifelong connection to Newport Beach and a desire to build something of my own.
I grew up here, surrounded by the people, places, traditions, and way of life that make Newport what it is. Life has always revolved around the water, the beach, the harbor, the course, and a community where familiar faces and places become part of our everyday. There's an ease to life here, but also a sense of tradition and connection that has always stayed with me.
For years, I had a vision of creating something that could bring together the things I've always loved - style, quality, community, and a strong sense of place. I wanted to build something that felt timeless rather than temporary, with pieces people would genuinely love, live in, and keep.
The name Newport Standard came to me one morning while I was walking around Balboa Island. I went home , started designing, and what began as an idea for a hat quickly became the beginning of something much bigger.
Newport Standard is my way of creating something rooted in the place that shaped me, while building a brand that can grow far beyond it. A brand grounded in where it came from, made for wherever it goes next.
